Scope and Contents: This collection contains oral history interviews, most of which are on videotape. Links to transcripts are provided when transcripts are available online. The interviews were largely conducted by personnel associated with Randall Library, although there are a few subseries that contain donated or purchased interviews. Interviews cover a range of people, from various professions, walks of life, age groups, and areas of the country. Special Collections and UNCW Archives staff conduct oral history projects that are in keeping with the larger goal of oral history: to make historically visible those whose experiences are not reflected in traditional written sources and documentary evidence.
