Interview with Paul Pritchett, December 12, 2001
Date:
December 12, 2001
Description:
Paul Pritchett was drafted into the Army Air Corps on February 2, 1943 after several attempts to enlist failed. He was denied previous entry due to poor dental condition. He took his wife to Amarillo, Texas where he completed his engine training and from there to Seattle, Washington. He was then transferred overseas to Siapan and was present when the Enola Gay took off with the atom bomb. Mr. Pritchett advises current and future Americans that war and conflict cannot be resolved until "we learn how to live with people."
